Hello all! I am using kubuntu 24.04 thunderbird 135.0 And i heard i can now add EWS account to TB I am using on premises exchange server TB founds my account but offen only OWL addon exchange But i can press "manual" and there i see Protocol is Exchange. I press "configure manually" or "advanced config" but both ignores me... How to add EWS mailbox ?

Hello, I'm using Thunderbird (128.7.0esr (64-bit) on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) for many years now and this is first real problem I encountered. Veeam is a backup solution which is writing emails where the first headers are written in UTF-8 and the body in UTF-16. The attachment is written in UTF-8. The body is a summary written in UTF-16 When I open the mail the body is shown in Chinese characters. The attachment is normal and readable. Outlook has no problems reading this email and though it is possible to change Veeam to write everything in UTF-8 the system admin who is using outlook refuses to change it. Is this a known problem or do I have set some settings wrong ?

When using an external display, only Thunderbird may appear larger. (See attached image.)

This phenomenon does not appear on all displays, but only when using a Philips monitor.

Since this problem appears only in Thunderbird, it cannot be solved by changing the resolution of the PC.

Also, even if it is Philips, the display may still be correct. Rebooting does not solve the problem. The same phenomenon occurs with mirroring.

Please let me know if you know of any solution to this problem, as I will describe my operating environment below.

I am not receiving my emails, and when I try to send I get a message about peer's certificate. Help. And I have read all I can find and there aren't any real answers that I can find.

New to TB...

I know this setting pertains to auto-deleting messages, but is there a similar setting for manual deletions?

Let's say I highlight all old messages dated in 2023--450 messages for example--then I press the Delete key....if there are any starred messages in that group I'd like for them to either not be deleted or to get an additional warning like "Messages for deletion includes starred messages...delete anyway? Yes/No"

I'm guessing there's no such warning, but thought I'd ask....thanks.

When setting up Thunderbird, I did not see the radio tick box for removing mail from the server. What will happen now that I have removed about 10000 pieces of email from my local account on my computer's hard drive?

I have more questions, but would rather ask one at a time.
