Search Suggestions stopped showing up v149 desktop

yah all of sudden no search suggestions are showing up in my search bar, i have Show search suggestions and

Show search suggestions in address bar results both selected too, and only have Google for a search engine.

I have also tried in no extension mode, and still doesnt work

Following an update in february, when I close my session, firefox asks if I want to close all my tabs, if I said yes, when I open the following session I have to fish manually all my tabs in the historic or in the group of tabs.

I have the same setting for years with reopen the tabs on the next session etc, and now, I have to quit without closing the browser and shut down the computer with firefox running if I want to have my usual tabs on the next day on my profile.

If I quit and close the tabs ( 63...) my profile is empty. No more pined tabs or group of tabs.

Can someone explain how to fix that?

I am consistently receiving an "Access Denied - You don't have permission to access (names site specific URL) on this server" error message on several websites. -- Lowes.com, Homedepot.com, costco.com.

I can access the home page of the website, but whenever a tab on the home page is selected or a search done, the error message is received.

Have followed all help suggestions I can find. Cleared cache, cleared history, forgotten website, refreshed Firefox, run Firefox in safe mode. No impact on problem.

The recent update 149.0 introduced a new look to the error pages. Every single time the requested URL does not exist, a page's servers are down, or your internet is turned off, it shows an image of a fox biting a power plug. The image is no-connection.svg located in omni.ja (chrome://global/skin/illustrations/no-connection.svg). Such a location rooted in the files cannot be zapped by uBlock Origin. I tried to replace the image inside omni.ja using 7-zip, but it can't do so because the Mozilla Firefox folder is Read-Only, and keeps turning so despite me unchecking the Read-Only checkbox in properties. I tried looking for a variable in about:config, toggled svg.disabled from false to true, it didn't help. My goal is so that only text appears on error pages, and no images, like it was in the previous update. Ideally I would like to have the option to completely eliminate corporate artwork from my copy of Firefox. Help would be very much appreciated, because Firefox is my favourite browser by far

After last auto upgrade of firefox browser, my print function is dysfunctional. When I try to print a broker data page, 2 "boxes" of options on the page I'm trying to print, become open, with long lists of all possible options, when they only show the one option I am using on the real web page I'm using. This takes up 1/2 of the printed page, and moves the data I'm trying to print down so far that I have to print 2 pages to include it all. This is a change which did not occur when printing before the upgrade. If I switch to a safari browser, this does not happen (but I prefer the firefox browser). Help please.

1. This could be under-reported problem. People will have problems reporting this bug

2. Whenever I try to save anything (image, website, Ctrl+S, print website to file, Ctrl+P, screenshots, same problem) my Firefox tries to "Open" something instead. I see dialog window with header SAVE, but the final button is labeled "Open" and after clicking it usually nothing happens. A haven't been able to save anything since this update. Only system-wide screenshots work for me now.

I had to use another installation in order to attach screenshot here. In the problematic 149.0, after clicking "Browse..." and selecting file, nothing happens, and no upload, moreover button won't respond to clicking anymore. Then I force refresh, and this text within this form disappears, but attached image appears.

3. Yesterday I have updated my Firefox to 149.0, using official debian sources, mozilla-deb - 1.0 -

4. I have Linux Debian, (old version, Stretch+backports, yes, I am moving things already to new hdd), maybe it's related: 4.9.0-19-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.320-2 (2022-06-30) x86_64 GNU/Linux )

In order to fill this form I am using separate installation 140.9.0esr (64-bit), you could warn Debian teams not to propagate this error.

5. I have checked Console and Debugger, but they seem website-related. This error happens on every single website. Tried already troubleshooting mode, same problem. Please help us.

I am on arch linux, Wayland KDE Plasma. KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.24.0 Qt Version: 6.10.2 Kernel Version: 6.19.9-arch1-1 (64-bit) I then ran firefox (Both Flatpak and Pacman fail ), and no matter what (MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND on or off) when in pointer lock, the high polling rate mouse was significantly slower than the lower polling rate touchpad. LastPass does not seem to work on Firefox, to save passwords on my Mac. It works on Safari.

Also, on Zoom Chat, the page has changed to a white text on black background in the last 2 weeks. Please advise. Thank you.

Unable to access three sites (so far): MacOS9Lives.com, 68kmla.com and wycokck.com. I keep getting this response: "An error occurred during a connection...". Or in the case of the local city government's website (wycokck.org). I get a message that I am not authorized to access it. All other bookmarks tested here seem to function properly.

Google Fiber customer (GFiber) using the Nest Wifi Pro mesh system which reports a "Great" connection via all (3) access points.

I would like to setup Firefox so it checks for updates and installs them during maintenance windows (overnight) and runs the updates as 'system' account. This is how Chrome and Edge handle updates.

I tried using the following GPO settings

Application Autoupdate Enabled Background updater Enabled Disable Firefox Studies Enabled Disable Telemetry Enabled Disable Update Disabled Don't Check Default Browser Enabled

This seems to create Schedule tasks in Windows task scheduler, but the tasks are running as previously logged on user accounts. which doesn't help us in this particular environment.

I know we can manually push out the latest version via creating new MCM application pushes but the amount of updates that are coming down is a labor intensive exercise and we don't have the budget for PatchMyPC

Please post any thoughts!

I’m contacting you regarding the Pocket shutdown and the status of my saved items.

My account contains over 10 years of saved articles and bookmarks that are highly important to me. I’m concerned that I may lose access to this entire archive due to the shutdown/deletion process.

Could you please confirm:

1.. Whether my Pocket data is still available for export or recovery

2. If there is any official method to download my full archive (saved links, tags, and collections)

3. Whether account data is already in a deletion pipeline, and if so, whether recovery is still possible

4. If there is any paid or manual recovery option available, I am willing to use it.

This archive is extremely important, and I would appreciate any guidance as soon as possible.
