Is my GSM broke?
My ZTE Open constantly cannot resolve location on mapping service. How to trouble shoot?

Hi Fleamour,
Thanks for using Firefox OS. The configuration is such that it does take a couple of minutes to get a GPS lock the first time.
I generally go to the settings and enable GPS, then I go to the maps app, touch the menu, then touch the route button to force it to find my location (and it takes a couple of minutes and you should be outside). See Maps and locations
We have reported this issue to eng and it is being worked on, thanks for your additional comments to improve.
Thanks, Michelle Luna

Hi there!
May I ask what error message you are receiving? Also, when you are trying to geo-locate yourself, are you connected to Wi-Fi or do you have a SIM card inserted?
Thank you!
I also get this issue, when trying to geolocate in any application. This happens in multiple circumstances and doesn't seem to work; regardless of whether the Wi-Fi is on, the SIM card is in, or mobile data is enabled.
I am on Wi-Fi connection, but also have o2 SIM inserted. I have Googled correct GSM settings & default are correct.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Mozilla Support! After reviewing the information that you provided, we think that the best way to fix this issue would be to reset your device.
Warning: Resetting your phone will delete all data stored on the device, including apps, calendar data, email accounts, and settings.
To reset the device, follow these instructions:
- Open the Settings application.
- Tap on the Device Information button.
- Tap on the More Information button.
- Tap on the Reset phone button.
- Tap OK to continue or Cancel to cancel.
We hope that this fixed the issue you were having. Please report back to us if this helped!
Thank you!
If it's gonna wipe phone of user data, then I will wait for a braver soul to confirm working first.
It didn't work for me;
I mean GPS not GSM!

Being outside did the trick! Thanks!
