I am a new Firefox user and am trying to get familiar with it. I noticed my toolbars are set up as Yahoo, YTD and BitLord, which I just tried removing. What is a torrent and is it something I need to have as a toolbar?

It is definitely not essential to the functioning of the browser, and if you don't think you need it, it is safe to remove. You can always add it back later if you want to.
