Just recently Firefox 6 was automatically updated on my Mac OSX 10.68. Since then I cannot upload downloaded files from the internet when I click on them.

The files download from the internet to the downloads list. When I click on the icon to install them to my desktop, they will not open.

Also all other files and applications on my Mac require me to use command O to open them. This was never needed to be done before. I could just click on the file.
