I recently upgraded to Firefox 4. Since upgrading, I've had the following issues:

- Animated images are slow/choppy - Clicking 'play' on youtube videos will often cause FF to go unresponsive, forcing me to kill the process in task manager.

Windows 7, 64bit. speedtest result

Everything works speedy/as it should when running Chrome, but I'd really rather not use Chrome. Is there anything I can do? This is really annoying. It didn't happen at all before upgrading.

The speedtest you posted is not really a reliable one. Can you run the one at Youtube? Here's the link: Youtube Speed Test

Also, can you play the "Test Video" which you'll see near the foot of the page.

Because you've upgraded to 4.0, you can now play videos on Youtube in HTML5 instead of Flash. All you need to do is to signup to the HTML5 trial by clicking the link at the foot of this page: HTML5 Trial

Another thing I noticed from your system specs is that several plugins are out of date. To check which ones, go to Plugin Check

You can also try running Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If videos play properly when you do that, then one or more of you add-ons is the culprit.

P.S. Sorry it took so long to answer your question.
