I just started using FF4 and the gui seems sluggish to me for example it doesn't open or close a tab smoothly, there seems to be a bit of lag that I did not experience with FF3.

I am using the default theme with very few extensions (no new ones since I switched 3 or 4 days ago) on win7. Pages load perfectly fast but if i want to open a menu or open a new tab FF seems to act a bit sluggish.

Did you use your old Profile or did you create a new one for Firefox 4.0?

all I did was upgrade to FF4. I kept all of my add-ons and themes from FF3 and only 2 of the add-ons and 1 theme are not compatible with FF4
