When I use the Google toolbar to search, using Firefox 3.16 as a browser, the sites appear on a Google list but the links take me to totally different irrelevant sites.
Type something in Google search bar. E.g. "lou israel". Google search results OK. http://www.google.ca/search?q=lou+israel&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&client=firefox-a&rlz=1R1GGLL_en___CA380 But click on any link and you get the wrong result.
First link is http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0007117/ But I get redirected to http://www.shopica.com/rssearch.php?q=lou%2Bisrael
And if I do it a SECOND time, it is different again! I hit the back button, go back to Google search results, and try the first link. http://www.kdirectory.co.uk/results.asp?qry=lou%2Bisrael&rfid=lka18_71325-2751&rfs=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bywill.net%2F%3Fsearch%3Dlou%252Bisrael%26n%3D1293785351
I hit the back button AGAIN, and try the second link, which should be http://www.wildsound-filmmaking-feedback-events.com/lou_israel.html
But instead I am directed to http://www.kdirectory.co.uk/results.asp?qry=lou%20israel&rfid=lka18_11561-1936_2751&rfs=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bywill.net%2F%3Fsearch%3Dlou%252Bisrael%26n%3D1293785352
This seems to happen with all sites. Firefox 3.16 is my current browser. I use AVG as my antivirus.

Sounds like it is malware. For suggestions with lists of security programs available and articles on the subject:
