I no longer have access to the Extension Manager as it will not open. I am not sure when this began, but I want to disable some add-ons and I can't find another way to do this without the Extension Manager. I inserted the icon for Extensions so I can see what I have added, but from there they can only be tweaked, not uninstalled.

Did you try if you can access the Extension Manager in Safe mode ?

You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.

Success! Yes, I am able to open the Extension Manager in Safe mode. I assume I can now restart in Safe mode WITHOUT disabling the add-ons and then work on them from there as this does not show all of my extensions.

Thank you so much for your help. This is exactly what I was looking for, and if I had remembered Safe mode, that might have helped without bothering all of you nice people. What a nice community!

You're welcome.

Is there a way to enable/disable specific extensions through the command line, for example as a modifier at startup? Or alternatively, is there any way to enable the old add on manager in Firefox 4, or has it been completely removed?
