since i downloaded the new version of firefox (3.6.6), something is broken : when i type into the address bar, it does not autofill, it does not offer suggestions; i have to type in the entire web page name

NO AUTOMATIC ADDRESS BAR DROPDOWN MENU
since downloading the new version of FireFox (3.6.6), when typing into the address bar, FireFox is not offering me options (eg: i type "hotm-" and i do NOT see a dropdown window offering me "hotmail.com" which is in my favorites and in my history). instead i have to type out the entire website name.

I also have the same problem with Firefox 3.6.6 for Mac which I downloaded today. I've been browsing for half a day but none of the websites I want to return to are suggested by the autofill feature.

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing": Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History,Bookmarks,History and Bookmarks See Smart Location Bar --- See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite
As I said, I had the same problem. I followed the instructions listed on this page but that didn't do it. So I finally deleted the entire Firefox profile folder and the problem went away.
