Thunderbird Write/forward email send disabled, reply email works fine. Thunderbird for Linux Mint mint-001 - 1.0 153.4.0esr (64-bit). Linux Mint 22.1
When I attempt to write or forward an email, the send option is grayed out and I can not send. But I can reply to an email and the send icon is active. Could this have something to do with the fact that I have had a substantial number of emails and I have used thunderbird for many years causing a pointer to flip? If so is there a way to fix this?

Try restarting Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode (see <Help | Troubleshoot Mode>.) Among other things, this will disable all add-ons in case one of them is misbehaving,
Do you know that the Send button won't be active until you put in a To: address?
I believe the most recent version available for Mint 22 is Thunderbird 153.5.1esr. Can you update?
Thank You.
I was having this issue and I entered email addresses in the "TO" field, Send icon did not highlight. Later I rebooted and retested, but I do not think I entered anything in the "TO" field, just assuming I was having the same problem. When I enter something in "TO" field the Send icon highlights and I can send the Email. Thank You, I feel humbled.
Glad to hear it. It's just one o' them crazy computer things, I guess. All's well that ends well.
