Thunderbird went goofy for multiple gmail accounts - deleted email does not show in trash folder, authentication errors, delayed message display.

So this started prior to version 153? Does this only happen with gmail?

I'm not sure if this started before the last update or not. It only happens with 3 of the 5 or 6 imap gmails. The other ones that are pop have no issues. I just found that if I double click the progress bar on the bottom right, A pop up has the history of current actions taken by TB. One of the bad gmails (if any action was taken on that one at that time) it says authentication error? But it brings in the email? When TB is moving deleted emails to trash, that progress bar just keeps rolling and rolling and rolling, so it's trying to do its thing but not completing it. I also noticed it says that particular email was sent to trash, but it didn't. I have been watching that progress bar action and it looks like it alternates between different email addresses with the authentication error? If there is an issue with gmail, that error should be constant. Also, when I have a new email and click on the header to read, there is no preview for a minute, then it pops up. Something is really wrong.

On Monday some of our developers were experiencing similar issues.

Their opinion is 99.99% sure it's just a Google issue, because experiencing the same slowness and fetching problems in TfA and Spark, so not exclusive to a specific codebase (product).

Thank you. So if this issues has been happening for some time, google seems to not know of the problem imo. Normal users have no access to even let google know other than the "make comment" or go to their help forum and neither do any good. In an 8 hour day, I'm probably spending 2 hours messing around trying to figure this out. Google needs or should be informed. I tried weeks ago with no response. But what seems odd is that if they had a problem, wouldn't it effect all emails for everyone? If not, then it seems to be a targeting issue,

Yes, including extremely slow message download if there is a file attached or a pic in the email. I also just found another strange thing. When you set up TB for mail with gmail, you get an email asking to allow TB to do the, lets say fetching and whatever. I was messing around last night and signed out of TB. Then I went to sign in again but just pressed the cancel button. The sign in popped up again and again, so I just kept pressing the cancel button again and again. The next thing was TB opened my email prog without my password? That's not good, but here is the stranger thing. When my email prog opened (I could read and send mail) I got a pop up from gmail saying TB needs further things allowed? Huh? So I played along. It was for me to allow TB to read, save and copy emails. This was on gmails page, not the normal pop up you get when setting up. I had to sign into gmail to continue with that process. I checked that box to allow thinking TB had lost that allowance. Nothing changed. If google has issues with downloading, once they have been downloaded, then it's a TB thing from there when placing emails where you tell it to. Unless the way it works is you are telling TB to go to google to delete an email and the 2 talk back n forth before it happens?
