By "other browsers" you mean search engines. A search engine is for example duckduckgo.com, google.com, bing.com etc.
Mozilla is the makers of the Firefox web browsers as Firefox is the third name for the web browser on desktop since the 0.8 Release.
If Mozilla were to try and have a search engine of their own they would have likely started many years ago when they likely had a better chance. Now days you have a lot of established competition and also AI tools and AI search results on top of that.
It is not like Mozilla has not worked on a wide variety of products that currently still exist like these https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new and discontinued ones as mentioned in https://killedbymozilla.com/ and as you can see some were old and some were short lived.

The Firefox web browsers for desktop Windows, macOS, Linux and mobile version for Android uses the Gecko rendering engine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gecko_(software) and is not based on Chromium as most other major browsers have downgraded to using. Microsoft Edge and Opera used to have their own browser engines but downgraded to being Chromium based.
However for on iOS/iPadOS web browsers are based on webkit due to Apple's restrictions. This is why there are no Firefox extensions on iOS/iPadOS. Due to a court ruling Mozilla could technically make a Gecko version of Firefox for iOS/iPadOS in some markets now.

Running a search engine is a large business venture on its own, basically only the biggest players can afford building their own engine and index. Also, the biggest revenue stream for Mozilla are search deals, running a direct competitor wouldn't be the wisest choice.
