On two different PCs, mine and that of another family member, when we open up Firefox it does not go to the default home page we have set but rather opnes up the last web page we accessed or alternatively we receive a message that it is "having difficulty open that page".

Sending me a link on how to set the home page was patronising to say the least. I have been using Firefox since its earliest days so it was like teaching your grandmother to suck eggs. I used the same home page for many, many years without experiencing this fault previously. Using the File/Exit close-down made no difference.

As it happens, the latest update to version 96.0.2 appears to have done the trick despite it allegedly not having our fault listed as one of the faults rectified. Both PCs are now performing with Firefox as the should. Perhaps a glitch occurred when we installed version 96.0.1?

There are several possibilities.

1) The browser is set up to open the last session. 2) The browser thinks it crashed and automatically restored the last session.
