firefox installed x2 after many years of use. have macOS...does not open after turning off Mac - this happened after a blackout but Mac was off at the time...my power backup did scream at me during the night so turned it off.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
