DuckDuckGo not working in the address bar

I wanted to use DuckDuckGo instead of the default search engine which is Google. I had to add DuckDuckGo manually in the settings, it wasn’t in the list. When I was adding the link, it required to add %s in the end. Now when I type in the address bar and want to search, it brings me to DuckDuckGo website and there only can J start searching. Is it not possible to integrate DuckDuckGo search in the address bar?

It works for me using iOS 14.0.1. What version are you using?
