email sent to me in .pdf format are automatically changed to .dat
sender says he sends a .pdf , Thunderbird changes it automatically to .dat I'm unable to open these emails or view them properly. This is important to me because I have to print these messages and can't.

Is the attachment named winmail.dat?

downloaded the addon, now what, how does it install? Can't open it.

From Tools/Add-ons/Extensions, click the gear icon next to Search, Install Add-on from file..., select the downloaded xpi file.
LookOut (fix version) could not be installed because it is not compatible with TB 60.9.1
