sbcglobal email account did not migrate completely ..... Has only two months of emails, and only 3 folders were created (inbox, junk, trash).
The first email account that I migrated was my sbcglobal account. Only two months of emails came through, although there should be much more. It only created 3 folders (inbox, junk, trash), but nothing came through the junk or trash folders. Next, I migrated my Hotmail accounts. Everything came through fine. They each have 7 folders, and all email came through, including "junk". How can I fix the sbcglobal account? Thanks.

Depends on whether you have set up as pop or imap.
If pop : Pop mail accounts can only connect and download from the server Inbox to the mail account Inbox in Thunderbird. It has no access to any other server folder. 'Inbox' should populate with emails you have not previously downloaded from server Inbox and for new incoming mail. You would also see few default thunderbird folders eg; Junk and Trash.
'Junk' is a thunderbird folder which i would advise you setting up junk controls to get it to work as desired. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls
'Trash' also called 'Deleted' in some version eg: English British is also a default folder in thunderbird.
When you send an email, or create a draft or save email as template or choose to archive then these fodlers will be auto created by Thunderbird when needed.
The sbcglobal account sounds like a pop mail account. If you right click on that mail account, you would not have option to 'Subscribe'.
Either create another existing mail account and set up as 'imap' or keep using the pop. If keeping pop account: As pop only connects to server Inbox, you can logon to webmail server and move emails into the Inbox folder. Then in Thunderbird use the 'Get Messages' to download them to Thunderbird pop account Inbox, then create a suitably named folder and move those messages for organising and storage.
If you prefer imap and it is available. Move all emails from pop mail account into 'Local Folders' account, then remove the pop mail account. Then create new existing mail account and set up as imap.
If imap: Imap mail accounts see a remote view of the folders on the server. You subscribe to see those folders. Right click on imap mail account in left Folder Pane and select 'Subscribe'.
re: Hotmail accounts.... have 7 folders, and all email came through, including "junk". This sounds like an imap mail account. You will probably find the server uses a 'Spam' folder for those types of emails.
