Unable to read, edit, or write emails after update with Windows 10

After installing an update to thunderbird last week (around March 9th), I am now only able to open up to the "home" screen on thunderbird. It does not allow me to read, edit, or write emails, when I click on any of these folders, nothing happens. the only way I'm able to actually "read" emails, is to right click on the folder then select open in another tab. I have restarted, rebooted, opened in safe mode, uninstalled/reinstalled thunderbird to no avail.

Typically this is caused by the calendar addon. Have you tried disabling or removing Lightning, or starting Thunderbird in safe mode?
