2 brand new laptops with fresh install of Thunderbird AND an updated desktop with Thunderbird all have the same issue. When clicking onto a new email or deleting one,a 2-3 second freeze sometimes going as far as a stop responding message.

All 3 have windows 7 64 bit.

new laptops... with a new anti virus... my guess McAfee.

I also uninstalled McAfee on both laptops.

No. Removing it did not help at all
