A pop-up wanted me to up date firefox and change my browser? Didn't list a name that I could easily find but I didnt look for long.

been having probs w/flash player but nothing major, at least not enough to motivate me to change anything, but sometimes it crashes and gets slow. Anyway this pop-up appeared(that never happens, never get pop-ups) and wants me to up-date and change my browser doesn't say to who or what.

Your version of Firefox is out of date. Please use the directions at Update Firefox to the latest release to update Firefox

went to the updater and I am using the latest version, just got my machine back from the techs less than a month ago. Had it wiped and cleaned, down loaded the latest firefox then

Firefox 24 was released a week ago - you're using 23.0.1, the previous version.

Note that the Firefox 24 update is currently throttled because of issues (crashes) with Norton software.

Sorry, about that - this Owner does have 2 Norton extensions installed.
