I keep getting a popup when I click on my Firefox brower that asks if I want to update. It has a logo that matches maulware I recently had to deal with. What is it?
This pop up won't let me open the browser (Firefox) until I click the X. Says an update to Firefox is available. The upper left corner has an icon that exactly matches that of a very bad virus I had a hard time getting rid of.

You are not running the latest Firefox release.
You can find the latest Firefox 9.0.1 release here:
- Firefox 9.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
