When Firefox is closed with 2 or more open tabs, Firefox will not reopen until the computer is shutdown and restarted.

Whenever I close Firefox with 2 or more open tabs, and later try to reopen it, I get a prompt indicating Firefox is still running and must be closed before continuing requiring I shut down my computer and restart it. This is becoming an extreme nuisance. How can it be avoided?

Every time Firefox opened
