What are Zen Mods?

I am a novice user of Zen (and an ignorant user of Firefox). I want to learn its (their) features and how to properly use them. I want to know, for example, what are Zen Mods? What are their purposes? How do I set up certain websites so that I don't have to log on every time I use Zen?

What are "spaces," and how do I utilize them? How do I set up different profiles, and what are the benefits of having more than one profile?

Really, I need a tutorial on how to best utilize Zen and Firefox.
