Please see this video. Double-clicking can only close the foreground tab. If I double-click the background tab, it will become the foreground tab, and double-clicking it multiple times in a short period of time will not close it. I have to wait about one second after stopping clicking the left mouse button before I can double-click it again to close it. Some Chromium-based browsers do not have this issue, and each of their tabs can be closed by double-clicking I can only show it with video. Please leave a message if you can't see the video.

Hmm, yes, double-clicking a background tab in Firefox 140 makes that tab active. But I can double-click to close after a very short wait, basically long enough to understand what just happened and try again.

Thanks for answer. But I want to close any tab by double-clicking. It is my habit on Chromium. Looks like I'll have to get used to using the middle mouse button if Firefox doesn't change.
