where is the settings for GUI in firefox source? like I legally downloaded the source, and I want to change the GUI. but I can't as there's lack of .json or something.

What GUI settings do you want to change? Note that you would have to recompile Firefox each time a update is released.

You can look at the Browser Toolbox to see what a specific items is about and search the source code for its ID or CSS files.
