New version of Thunderbird will display a minimum of 10 messages above the active message. This was formerly adjustable to show only 4 messages (read or unread), and is now no longer adjustable. This shrinks the visible space for the active message.

This change is very inconvenient and seems totally unnecessary. I want the ability to minimize the viewable message above the active message to the previous setting.
