I use TBird on a 2-screen setup. My recollection is that in the prior version, with TBird on my main screen I could hit ctrl-shft-B and the address book would open up on my 2nd screen. I can't seem to do that in 102. Ctrl-shft-B opens the address book but it is in a second tab. I right click and open a new window and then drag that to my other screen. But once I close the address book, TBird forgets and next time I have to go thru the same routine; it also forgets the size so I also have to re-size it. Is there a way to have TBird remember to put the address book on screen 2? If not I request you add that feature back.

Thank you.

V102 made the address book a tab and entirely replaced the entire front end of the address book. There is no longer a window, even as an option for those that want it.

What you are doing is opening a second Thunderbird window and displaying the address book in it in a tab. If my experience in doing that is anything to go by. It is also a second tab in the second window. So there is nothing to "forget" as opening the address book will never invoke open a new window.

Matt, Sounds like you understand the feature that v91 had that is no longer. Thank you.

You explained why it now works differently. Are you saying it cannot be fixed to provide that excellent prior feature, or that is unlikely it will get done, or what? Should I go to Mozilla and report it as a bug?
