after the latest update I can't logon to my comcast e-mail account thru thunderbird. When I god to the xfinity site I can look at the e-mail (I can log on)

Please check this info to see if it applies to you. Logon to Xfinity webmail, click on Settings (gear wheel), then Security, and enable the check box for access by third party applications.
