Thank you Matt for explanation
Hello Matt
Just wanted to thank you for the explanation (below dashed line).
Sorry, this probably isn't the right place to post this, but I find understanding the jargon of and navigating these forums all so confusing! And I couldn't find anywhere to post a reply to you.
Also, I'm from the UK, so would prefer to be in an 'en-UK' version of Mozilla, if there is one.
I'll also re-post my question as you suggested.

@Catherine Barber UK It was meant for you, and I guess the original poster has closed the topic because they felt they did not want emails from you about your issue. That is why we tell people to open their own topic by asking their own question. Neither myself or Toad-Hall would have been back to this topic since September.
I will now lock this topic from further discussion in the assumption the original poster found a solution. Just a shame you statement is marked as such so we do not know what it is.
You should raise your own topic using this link if you still need support. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird/form

I did not leave the topic open for you to respond. I think the original poster was a bit miffed at the spam, hence the sudden solution. I was not going to leave further opportunities for more spam in that circumstance.
For occasions where you need to drop a line to an individual on this forum, if you click on their name it will take you to a profile page where private messages out of the public view can be exchanged. But is is perhaps useful where you need to exchange "private" information or in circumstances like you found yourself in where I had cut you off :) (I feel with just cause)
