Emails are being received but not displayed when I open the inbox

I use Thunderbird 91.4.0 32 bit. In the last 24 hours emails are being received but not displayed. I can see that I have x number emails in the inbox but when I open the inbox none are displayed. I can access them by a search wiith my name as recipient and then open them from the search results table. What has gone wrong? Have I inadvertently set up as no display option?

Solution choisie

I have spoken to a friend, more knowledgeable than me, who has solved the problem. All emails are now displaying correctly.
