Unable access the app after upgrade

Following the recent automatic upgrade of Firefox for iOS to version 26, it is no longer possible to access the app successfully.

After tapping the Firefox icon, the app momentarily opens and then immediately closes.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution to this issue?
