Most folk that make a statement like that have the start page opened in a tab and it flashes up before switching to the last open tab.

This is the behavior of v. 60.2.1 after updating from v.52 in its default launch state. I believe this to be a legitimate bug. Previous versions have not presented this behavior.

How to I reproduce this?

Thunderbird opens to the last tab I had opened here on Windows 10.

Please post a screen shot of Thunderbird after it loads. DO you leave tabs open?
