Profile cannot be loaded and renaming the file doesn't work

I had a problem with Firefox not loading but at that time I was NOT getting the "Profile cannot be loaded" message. It just would NOT open. I deleted Firefox and reinstalled but now when I try to open it, I get the "Profile missing" notification. I've tried renaming the Profile file but it doesn't help.

Try finding the profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks#w_determine-if-firefox-has-created-a-new-profile and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-run-firefox-when-profile-missing-inaccessible

and last resort only https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings
