Cannot open user account at all, how to regain control ?.

Gmail is link to Thunderbird, E-mail system is working okay. The Problem is the following: Whenever I try to gain access to my account settings there is no reaction except an alarm beep. Cannot seem to find what or where is causing it. Any advice or help would be appreciated.
