I have 4 CalDav calendars. 3 work fine in Lightning; 1 is greyed out and does not. Any ideas?

I am trying to set up Lightning. I have an account at Zoho.com with 4 calendars. All have the same settings.

I have managed to connect 3 of them with Lightning without a problem, using CalDav. The 4th simply refuses to work. I go through the same process, but as soon as I add the calendar (and click Finish), the calendar name is greyed out, the checkbox is unticked, and the calendar doesn't display. Going to Properties, it allows me to tick "Switch this calendar on", but immediately turns it back off as soon as I click OK.

I tried exporting the calendar to .ics and importing that file as a new calendar, but have the same result. I'm not sure where else to go. Any ideas??

As a side question, is it possible to have CalDav calendars from 2 separate accounts at the same provider using Lightning? I attempted adding calendars from two different Zoho accounts, but couldn't get the second account to show - it never asked for login info.

Thanks all.

Most caldav endpoints have a unique username as part of the URL.

Zoho offer these instructions To configure CalDAV for Thunderbird-Lightning:

  1. Go to File Menu > Click New.
  2. Select Calendar...
  3. Choose On the Network.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Choose CalDAV option.
  6. Enter URL https://calendar.zoho.com/caldav/{calendar Id}/events in the Location field and click Continue.
  7. Enter the calendar name in Name field and click Continue.
  8. Click Done.

Steps to obtain the Calendar ID:

  1. Login to calendar.zoho.com.
  2. Go to Settings > Sync.
  3. Choose CalDAV. Here, you can find the list of Calendar(s). Enable the Calendar(s) that you wish to sync via CalDAV.
  4. Once you enable, Go to Settings > My Calendars > Click Details for the Calendar which you enabled CalDAV and copy the Calendar ID.
  5. Now replace it {CalendarID} while configuring the URL in your Thunderbird-Lightning.

Given the calendar ID should be unique, not only to the user but to Zoho then it should allow multiple connections to multiple calendars.

However looking in the passwords I see that my GMX calendar passwords are stored in what looks like a domain setting. calendar.gmx.com. So we might be seeing a limitation of the authentication process. Gmail uses oauth2.0 so probably sidesteps this scenario,

Hey Matt, thanks for your response.

Yep, I've used that combination of processes to add the first 3 calendars, and they're working fine. That's why I'm confused about why a 4th may not be working, when it shouldn't be any different. I wondered whether the size of this last calendar might be an issue? But it's really not that busy.

I noticed the same thing about the domain setting for my calendar password. These 4 calendars were initially split over 2 accounts, and I've consolidated them to get past that limitation.

Any other ideas?
