I have been moving the headings (just 2 displayed Name & email) in order to reduce the screen to have another screen (word document) beside but now I cannot get the columns back and the 3 address books normally shown are hidden. No matter what I do such as reducing screen, shrinking / expanding screen I cannot get the 3 address book option to be displayed. So by default I get "Personal Address book" which has nothing in it.

Sounds like you lost your Directory Pane in the address book window.

Open the address book window. Do you have a menu bar with File-Edit-View etc? If not press the alt key to make it appear.

From the menu bar select View-Layout-Directory Pane
