I try playing videos on youtube but they never load, neither do the comments or the side bar videos but when first entering youtube its fine.
Basically youtube was working just fine today but when I went to it later this afternoon the videos wouldn't load. The comments and side bar videos wouldn't load either and sometimes the ads would play but the video would always buffer before going straight to the "error, please try again" message with the static background.
When I go to youtube everything looks fine but the moment I try to play a video it fails to work. It will work on chrome however just not firefox
I've tried deleting history, cookies, cache, everything
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox, uninstalling and reinstalling adobe, using html5, restarting in safe mode, I've tried just about everything everyone's tries to help others with. I also don't have adblock on firefox.
Is there anyone that can help me straighten this mess out I'm near tears with frustration and just want to watch markiplier and listen to music it's been a long week at college already.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
No that did not work. I started it in safe mode and I only have three add-ons which are:
McAfee Security Scan Plus 1.0 Norton Tolbar 2013.4.13.11 and XKit 7.4.4
And Norton and McAfee were disabled to begin with. Went back to youtube and still nothing has changed. So it's not the extensions and I've already toggled the hardware acceleration off once before and it was off just now and did nothing.
Would restarting the whole thing be a better option than choosing safe mode? Would my bookmarks stay intact?
You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer). Check on the Network tab if any content is blocked and has a file size 0 (zero).
A few had a file size of 0 but none of the youtube domain ones. And I'm not sure how to tell which ones are blocked or not there was no specific way for me to tell.
My college was having server troubles I believe so now the problem is fixed. Thank you for the help anyway
