I am scanning say 10 documents thru my Brother MFC and instead of Thunderbird opening an email with 10 attached files, 10 emails are opening with one file attached to each. Any ideas on how to fix this issue would be fantastic.

Sounds like you need to set your scanner to scan the entire document to a file, save it someplace and then attach the saved file to the email.

Your scanner manual or Brother will tell you how to use your scanner.
