    Where are you seeing this rate increase? I searched for "dosearches" questions at SUMO using this google search and the normal SUMO search. I only found two new reports specific to Firefox 25, both of them using a google search: /questions/976992 and /questions/976653. The rest of the questions I found were started by Firefox 23 or 24 users (although the two Firefox 24 SUMO search questions show "I also have this problem" numbers that are new this week, which could be from Firefox 25 users).

    Anyway, I did find http://malwaretips.com/blogs/dosearches-com-virus/ with a google search which says, when the "DoSearches" browser hijacker is installed, besides changing the home page and default search engine , it also alters Windows shortcuts to append http://dosearches.com to the end of the Target path. The malwaretips article suggests, in addition to running malware removal tools, to either manually remove the appended URL from all affected Windows shortcuts or to use the shortcut cleaner tool from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/shortcut-cleaner/

  4. All,

    Am guessing that this is the thread to post frequently reported issues. If not, please let me know if I need to create a new thread for it.

    In the last week, I have seen three users reporting issues with downloading attachments not working from Yahoo mail or the files not showing up after downloading. Are you aware of any known issue around this?

    1. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/971042
    2. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/978766
    3. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/978924

    Any other reported issues for this? And if you think it is better to create a new thread, let me know and I will do so.

    Thank you

    All,

    I do not think anyone is too fussy, so do not post again, but it is a thread for fx 25 issues and I suspect the Yahoo issue will not turn-out to be a Fx25 issue.

    ... In the last week, I have seen three users reporting issues with downloading attachments not working from Yahoo mail ...

    May just be a relatively frequent problem given the number of Yahoo users out there and we do not even know yet it is a common cause or that it is a reproducible problem. Did you try a Yahoo mail account yourself or asking someone who has one ?

    Its a pity we do not have a proper search tool for AAQ, but that seems to be very low priority, with the possibility of it being simplified and degraded rather than improved.

  6. two issues from today where firefox doesn't accept keyboard-input anymore - not sure if they might be related or if there has been an update to any 3rd-party-software that might interfere here...

  7. there have been a few complaints about the "tube dimmer" addon recently: http://tinyurl.com/pu7vl9p

    tyler, could you investigate that and if it's a candidate for blocklisting?

    edit: corrected link

  8. more options

    Are there any ID's associated with this add-on? It looks like it's bundled with visual bee, which we blocked, so if we get an id for this extension it looks pretty suspicious

  9. sorry, the link wasn't working correctly before - some threads have the ID attached under "more system details": support@tubedimmerapp.com

    on their website they seem pretty open about being adware, but the question is how it is coming onto user's computers and is it complying with the addon guidelines?

  10. You can use this code in userContent.css to have the ID show up in the System Details List (the ID is present as the title that shows a tooltip on hover).

    @-moz-document domain(support.mozilla.org){
     #more-system-details .about-support li[title]:after{
      content:attr(title);
      color:#6b0030;
      font-weight:normal;
     }

    I never noticed those tooltips and was wondering how philipp was getting the ExtensionIDs from "more system details". Example:
