I recently installed Norton 360 Deluxe on our Windows 11 computers. We don't like difficulty in setting and keeping FireFox as our default browser. Also, we keep getting pop-up windows from Norton. I expect Norton is slowing our computers down. I am thinking about changing to Avira. With that software, is it easy to set and keep FireFox as our default browser and does it use as much of our computer's resources as Norton does?

Also, I'd love to hear general thoughts & recommendations about Avira vs Norton.

I have signed up to a website that requires login stored in one or more small cookies and also stores a large amount of data locally to carry out processing. My Firefox desktop 153.3 ESR is set to delete all site data on exiting unless listed as an exception, which is what I want for most sites for privacy and security. For most of the exceptions that are not deleted, keeping local site data as well as cookies is not an issue and it is essential to keep local data for some. However, for this one site, I want to KEEP its cookies so I remain logged in but DELETE the site data automatically on exiting Firefox. I cannot see any setting for individual websites to handle cookies and local data differently, while changing the overall option for what is cleared would also delete the local data for other sites that is essential to keep.

Is there any way of configuring Firefox to delete a website's local data on exit while retaining its cookies without deleting otherexception websites' local data? If not, providing granular control of what is kept and deleted for website exceptions to the general clear on close would be a very useful feature to add. Thank you.

I hit the "Clear Private Session" icon, confirm, but then I have to go to:

Open Settings >

Privacy and Security >

Browsing Data >

Clear Browsing Data >

"Everything" (every check box has to be checked) >

Clear.

I have Firefox in permanent Private Browsing only, and Privacy and Security Settings are set to Strict / Do Not Fix any site problems.

Why does Firefox retain browsing site data even after I exit out of Fiirefox completely unles I do all of the above?

When I go to the first page of a site no problems. At the second page an ad pops out from either the R or L side of the screen. I have scanned with my virus protection (PC Matic) and have also run a scan on Malwarebytes but nothing was flagged. What would be the suggestions as to do next? [redacted email]

Hello. I am trying to start using Mozilla VPN, I linked my account, but afterall, it refuses to connect. It just say, that he "couldn't connect to VPN", it doesn't even mark the reason or gives some feedback. In settings it still offer to get started, despite i've already added account and it should work. What could be causing this? P.S. I have already relaunched a browser:)

In Settings → Privacy & Security → Browsing Data → Manage Exceptions, I added websites one by one and selected Allow so that their cookies and site data are kept. My goal is to stay logged in to these websites while Firefox automatically clears cookies and site data for all other websites when I close Firefox.

However, I found a bug: all the exceptions I added are being deleted after I close and reopen Firefox. Because of this, I am being signed out of all the websites where I was logged in.

This issue started after Firefox was updated to version 154.0 (64-bit) on August 19, 2026. Before this update, the exceptions were working correctly.

Please investigate and fix this issue so that the website exceptions remain saved after restarting Firefox.

I love having the VPN Add-on on my Windows 11 laptop and now I see that there's a plug in for my Android Tablet, too.

I see there's options to turn OFF the VPN, but i don't need it on all the time. To save the data limit, I keep the VPN turned off.

There are some sites that I log into that require me to either not be from Australia amd some I need to be VPN linked to specific countries, like the UK or USA.

Will there be a place to be able to list particular websites to turn the VPN ON for, and, where needed, specify a country to connect to?

I have paid for and used Mozilla VPN for some years, The app has now disappeared from my Mac Book and when I try to reload it from the website it states "error" and will not reload.
