Make sure that you have the latest version of that extension.

Open Tools > Add-ons > Extensions and click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar to do a Update check.

thanks, I get an icon when I press the customize panel for toolbars which is ok, altho not permanent, so issue solved. reidw.
