That is a problem with that website and caused by a missing clear:both rule for the side bar container DIV#sideNavWrapper
If you increase the font size then the menu is shifted down and the sidebar is placed right after that menu instead of at the left side.
You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

I see this happen if the minimum font size is 11 or more.
If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
Right on. But It would be nice if Firefox did accept the higher values.
