how do i stop firefox from starting up when i turn on my desk top ?

Hi RAGE, two suggestions: (1) Check the Settings page In Settings, under "Home and startup", look for a checkbox labeled "Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up". If there is a check mark for that feature, un-check it. (2) Close Firefox using the menu Rather than let Windows close Firefox, which may set a signal to pick up where you left off, quit Firefox using the menu. Either: * "3-bar" menu button > Exit * (menu bar) File menu (Alt+F) > Exit Let us know how it goes.
