what happened to my passwords?

Not by anyone here either. :) If you had an update, it may have been subsequent to that. But there are many parameters on a device that can interfere, but that is a minefield in itself. You can search here for many such queries and try some of the options and see if that guides you. To ensure in future you don't loose them > Export them and/or copy the Profile folder Also use about:profiles to look for your profiles folder, you may find more than one, then you can read up on how the password file can maybe copied from an older profile that may still have them. You can check by temporarily switching to any older profile. Also start by searching the forum : top right box with the words like | lost | missing | deleted | passwords, it is not an uncommon query on this forum
