Can you add a "freeze tab title" function just like "mute tab"?
Flashing tabs are so annoying.

I've heard of animated icons on tabs, but you're saying there's a page that actually flashes/blinks the title?
The page title shown on the tab is taken from the <title> tag in the page. A script in the page can change that title. That's how sites can update a new message count on the tab. But if there is a site abusing it, Firefox may need a new feature, or there might be an add-on, to prevent the script from doing that.
Can you give a link to a sample page that does it (assuming it's "family friendly" / "safe for work")?
I've got just the problem that Kiwi WebChat lets the title blink when someone talks, it blinks until you go to the tab. Normally I detatch and minimize the tab in Windows, because I don't know their configuration stuff, and sometimes I'm using Incognito mode anyway. Maybe there's a Kiwi WebChat setting.
I don't think the title is being abused much, but I don't know.
If you minimize the window, you shouldn't see the tab, but the change might cause the Firefox icon to blink on the Windows Taskbar. Perhaps if you add a second tab in that window as the active tab, that would stop the icon from blinking. Not sure...
When I search on Google about blinking chat tabs there are some about Google's own chat in Gmail. Not sure whether that was using the same technique.
