Crash ID: bp-69596614-5e16-4ba4-bb86-6bdc92170130

Firefox started crashing last Jan25th. It shows crash window and I either restart firefox or exit firefox. I tried to uninstall and re-install, but the same crash window keep popping up. I am not able to use firefox at all since the first time it crashed. Today, I tried again and it was able to go through the first step of installing, I even saw the icon on my task bar. However, it froze while checking if compatible with add-ons and other apps stage. It was unresponsive for ~30mins so I force closed it. After trying to install again, the crash window started showing up again.

hi annieman, thanks for providing a crash id. unfortunately this crash is caused by the websense/forcepoint security software that is running on your device.

i presume that's in a corporate environment - please get in contact with your it department to make sure that websense is fully up to date, as it has the tendency to crash newly released firefox versions until they adapt accordingly.

another option would be to install an esr version of firefox: Old versions of Websense cause startup crashes in Firefox
