How can we sync a single email address across multiple pcs so a deleted email on one pc gets deleted from other pcs as well?

5 users are monitoring a single email account. When an email is dealt with, we want to delete it from all of the Thunderbird inboxes so other users do not duplicate the work (dealing with the email).

That is a function of IMAP email. It sounds like you are using POP.
