Trying to setup Thunderbird on my new lapatop and do not remember my password. How can I retreieve it?

I do have the account. I can see my mail on the old laptop. I downloaded Thunderbird and copied the settings from the old laptop However I do not remember the password and everything I tried does not work How can I get my password/login?

In Thunderbird, Tools|Options|Security|Passwords>Saved Passwords.

However, if the password has not been saved, then you must login directly to your ISP and retrieve the current password or set a new one
