Your message implies that this shortcut has worked in the past. True? Using right-click 'Properties', verify that the shortcut icon still points to 'thunderbird.exe'.

Win10 default - Other OS's may vary. Target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe"
